Dear Pastor Lily,
Why are you doing this?
-All Of Us
I’ve been doing a lot of serious soul searching and asking myself and God a few really important questions about what I am doing on this site and why.
I’ve also been talking with many of you through email and getting amazing feedback, love and encouragement. Many of you have wanted to know more about me and why I created this site.
So today, instead of the usual format of answering one person’s moral dilemma, I thought it would be fun to share my answers to your excellent questions.
What inspired you to start this site?
I wanted to create a site that satisfies my creative ambitions, helps women, spreads love and heals hurting hearts. I have always loved problem-solving, both my own and other peoples. When someone is struggling I make it my personal mission to find solutions. I am a relentless reader and researcher and I love to write. This site was born out of those passions. I know that I can make a difference and I’m curious to see what my life will look like when I surrender myself and my talents to God. This work is a major part of me living up to my fullest potential.
I want to expose the hidden treasures that God put inside me.
There are so many problems in the world and I want to be a part of the solution. Hopefully, I will be able to connect with Millions of women and do my part to heal deep wounds. My relationship with my husband is a rare example of honest and authentic love that abides in Christ and is my greatest blessing. It is a special light that I want to share with the world and offer hope to those who no longer believe that such a thing is even possible.
What is the purpose that drives Proverbs 24:26?
As this site grows and I am able to offer additional products and services like my courses and coaching, I think it’s important to have goodness and mercy baked into everything I do.
- I’m a tither and I think this is an important part of the Christian lifestyle. Therefore 10% of every cent I make goes directly to the church.
- I offer mentorship and Pro Bono services to those who are at a financial disadvantage.
- There’s always at least 2 seats available at No Cost for my online courses.
- I use this platform to shine the light on social issues like abortion and modern day slavery
- Offering my in person skills as a coach and speaker for non-profit organizations.
I believe that having a purpose and giving back is essential and should be the standard for all. That is why I try to make sure I am always giving back.
What Breaks Your Heart?
Lately, the thing that breaks my heart more than anything is the cumulative despair of a generation of women who upon discovering that they are pregnant feel that the only logical option that they have available to them is an abortion. I am deeply concerned for these women who post-abortion are feeling silenced, shame, condemnation, guilt, and grief. I want to help solve this problem by offering services that restore hope and reduce the pain, grief, and sorrow of child loss.
What positive impact would you like to make in the world?
The positive impact I want to make would be the restoration of healthy authentic relationships. That is why I teach people how to connect with one another in powerful and courageous ways.
At the end of the day, I’m trying to make a difference in the way people interact with one another. Hopefully, something I write or share will cause another human being to treat God, themselves or someone else with a little more kindness, love, and respect. Despite all the technology that allows us to social, we live in an era of extreme isolation and fear. We have become so independent that many no longer know how to truly connect.
I would love it if my work help lower the rate of divorce and the number of broken homes.
What core belief inspires what you do?
I believe that everyone can enjoy an honest healthy authentic relationship with God. That you can live your life as a Christian without having to be fake or feel like a hypocrite. We can live according to God’s will for our lives and that the world will be exponentially better for it. Hopefully, my personal experience will help another travel this road with a little more grace and wisdom.
These questions helped me to do some sincere soul searching. Ultimately, I want to minister to women who are feeling lost and confused. Those who feel like aren’t a good Christian and are disappointed with the state of their spiritual life. Women who lost control and are looking for a way back to wholeness, love, joy, and peace. Women who want to surrender their lives to Christ and see where He takes them.
I see myself as their guide along the way with them on that long journey. The witness to their rebirth and self discovery, the midwife of their soul. If I can encourage and help them plan their steps I believe that I’m providing value to their lives and doing my part to make the world a better place and bring glory and honour to God.
God Bless You!
